Heineken chooses Mul-T-Lock
Heineken, one of the world’s largest brewers, is using Mul-T-Lock High Security products to secure its first brewery in South Africa.
The newly constructed facility, located southeast of Johannesburg, brews up to 300 million liters of beer a year, under the Heineken, Amstel and Guinness brands. Covering a total of 70,000 square meters, it consists of production buildings, cool cellars and a bottling and distribution warehouse, and many of these are protected by several hundreds of High Security Mul-T-Lock cylinders and several dozens of Mul-T-Lock G55 padlocks. With additional security products supplied by Valli & Valli and Protea, the entire brewery is protected by a full ASSA ABLOY High Security solution.
“There is a value in approaching a supplier that can offer total solutions, especially on a project on this scale,” said Vernon Schroeder, senior architect at Osmond Lange Architects, the large South African firm that designed the new Heineken brewery.
